Who’s leg do you have to hump to get socialized health care if you’re a socialist?

Apparently it's Specter’s, Snowe’s and Collins’.

When cornered about his support for a stimulus bill, which it now appears contains a provision to give the government control over what health care procedures you can receive, Arlen Specter told Fox's Megan Kelly, “I’ve made a commitment, Megan and I intend to live up to my commitment.”  A commitment to who?  Because It is certainly not to the people of his state, this country or the constitution he raised his hand and swore to protect just a couple months ago.

Do you really want the government telling you or your parents, “You’re 25 pounds over weight, we will not pay for your diabetes treatment!” or “You use to smoke, we will not pay for the chemotherapy to cure your lung cancer.”  Do you really want the government telling you, your parents or your children sorry…go home and die!  Because Specter, Snowe and Collins seem to believe that is the roll of our government.

They are going to pass this so-called stimulus bill.  I've seen interviews with dozens of the senators who will voting in support of this thing.  Every one of them say that if this language is in the bill they will take it out.  As I write this, they are 2 hours away from passing it.  How in the HELL can they not know the language is in it.  They are either lying or fools!

Either way, do you want fools and liars representing YOU?

You had to go there.  Don't make go tell all on your butt!

Much better man.  Text file downloaded fine.

Thanks for the profile fix.  Had to click the link in my email to reset my password.  Kind of aggravating.  But it worked.

Just a suggestion, couldn't you have just made the list attachments so I don't have to scroll so far down?   Smiley

Big,

Wasn't aware you were that lazy Big!  ;~0

That's a good Ideal.  Got a couple things I'd like to say to some of those A holes.

Just a suggestion, couldn't you have just made the list attachments so I don't have to scroll so far down?   Smiley

Hello All,

Here's the first entry from the drawing board at JDB Knives.  A terrific young author named Ty Schwamberger and I have entered into an exciting new collaborative effort.  It's a knife to celebrate the publishing of his first novel.  His novel, Night School is in the horror genera and lets just say that it involves knives and a very twisted personality.  Sound cool?  Well, sounded cool to me as well.  I am a knife maker!

It seems that Ty's imagination as a writer extends to thinking outside the box of marketing.  Ty's idea is to produce a one of a kind, limited edition knife that fits his vision and offer the knife and an autographed edition of his novel to his fans and collectors.

See what I mean by out of the box?  Well, after some conversation and design consulting we've decided on a knife for the project.  That's what you will see here.  I'm gonna let everyone in on a build-a-long kind of thing.  As I build the first knife of the series, which will be Numbered 1, you guys can watch the process I go through to produce each and every original knife design.

Feel free to ask questions, make comments and suggestions.  Heck, there are lots of ways to do this stuff.  You may have a faster, easier, smarter way of doing it.  Maybe we can all learn something.

The actual first step was the concept art/computer rendering that I sent Ty for approval.  There were several of those and several more Ty never saw.  We're gonna skip that for now and start with my actual first step for building every new knife design.

All that said...here we go!

The first step involves spending some quality time at a drafting board or in this case with a cad (computer aided design) program.  I start with a simple, single line scale drawing.  This scale drawing is what I use to make the patterns for individual parts.  That's what this first image is.  A screen capture of the cad drawing.

Step 1:

Step 2 is to then print out the drawing and transfer it to a material I use for patterns.  Carbon paper makes this step pretty easy.  You can see the transferred drawing in the middle and the printout underneath in the Step 2 pic.  I've gone back over the carbon lines with a fine point sharpie to preserve the grind lines.

Step 2:

Then for step 3...use scissors and Exacto knives to cut out the pattern.  Now is a good time to mention that I trim the pattern slightly smaller than the finished size of the knife.  I want to be able to grind down to the layout lines to get the finished profile.  If I just draw around the outside edge of a full size pattern I have to grind away my layout marks to get it to finished dimension.  Then I'm just guessing if I've gone too far.

Step 3

Steps 4 till completion will be added in installments later.  Lets hear your thoughts.

Fellow Americans,

Since the ah hum..."administration of change" is now installed in the White House, I thought it might be a good idea to help people find out how to have their voices heard.  To that end, I'm posting the entire list of senators of the 111 Congress of the United States.  I hope to keep this practice up as long as it takes to reclaim America and as long as the constitution is under attack!

Let your voice be heard.  I can tell you for fact that it does make a difference.  I have contacted my senate representative a couple times.  The last time was after this last election cycle.  A couple weeks ago i received a letter from his office.  It was from him personally.  I know because it had a hand written note below the typed portion that DIRECTLY addressed the concerns I contacted him about in the first place.  And it was in his handwriting.

If your representative doesn't respond to your concerns in a similar manner, then maybe it's time to elect a new representative!

This first link is to the 111th Congress sorted by the state they represent.  Just look for your state and click the link to email them from there or go to their Web Site and use the contact link there.

Since even I must live by the forum rules and because it's handy, I'll list the names of the current congress democrats and republicans in separate post.  That will also give us an opportunity to comment on them in separate threads.  For now I'll just post the name, party, mailing address, phone numbers and email if they listed it.  Later on I'll be adding a contact link after all the new members have theirs up.

If you want to contact them via email, use the link above for now.  Either way, be polite, civil and non threating.  Don't want the secret service on your butt!  But let um have it!

Ok, Big Brother enlightened me.  To address his laziness, I mean concerns, I've posted the democrats and republics as text links below.  Just click on one them and they'll open as a text file.  Complete with hyperlinks to contact them.  Heck, this might work even better.
