This is where my imagination went a little wild.  It's the Camper design gone mad and it's a monstrous design.  I decided that I wanted somewhere to do a little carving and so a more than 1/4" thick tang filled the bill.

The ONLY reason for this knife originally was because I wanted a knife to do my first ever vine and thorn carving into the tang.  So I chose a popular design and made it fat.  Really fat!  Over a quarter inch thick.  It turns out that folks like the beef and the vine and thorn file work.  As a matter of fact, I haven't had time to make one with out it.  The first person I showed it to ordered 2 more just like it.  That's the first 3 in the pic below.  If you want bragging rights around the camp fire...this one will certainly give you that.  Even without the file work, the sheer mass the blade will win friends and influence enemies.  It's the most substantial feeling small knife I've ever held.
